- This tour is a Bike Trail Tirol Variant, which has its trailhead in the small town of Imst. The beautiful cycle paths meander through beautiful, wide open Gurgltal Valley with uninterrupted panoramic views of the Lechtal Alps. Fern Pass is a historic Roman Road, however, on this tour you don’t follow the footsteps of the Romans but cycle eastwards, where grand mountain panoramas reach in every direction.
- A climb takes you up to scenic Mieming Plateau where you ride encircled by spectacular, high rising rock walls all day. On your second day you’ll head into wild and romantic Gaistal Valley, and then you ride uphill to the ski area and cattle pastures between the colossal walls of Wetterstein and Mieminger Kette Mountain Ranges. Follow this route until you reach Ehrwalder Alm Alpine Pasture Hut on Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain.
- A very rewarding downhill ride takes you down to Ehrwald. This lovely village is nestled in between the captivating and majestic mountains of Zugspitze in the east and Mieming Range and Wetterstein Massif in the south. The last section of this tour takes you across woodlands and high moor nature reserves back towards Fern Pass.
