The hilly landscapes surrounding the picture-book Wilder, Zahmer and Nieder Kaiser promise a truly unique biking experience amid verdant pastures and emerald green mountain lakes. This superb route travels right across the Kaisergebirge Nature Preserve, and is also suitable for beginners. Pleasant mountain biking at its very finest!
- Walchsee (655 meters) is the trailhead for this magnificent four-day biking tour. Conquering the 1016 meter high Horausattel you follow the trail towards Erpfendorf (634 meters).
- From here the route takes you to Waidring and past the gorgeous Pillerseetal Valley. On the shores of picturesque Lake Pillersees you continue pedaling to Fieberbrunn (790 meters).
- Via Rosenegg, Hochegg and Mühlau the route leads to St. Johann in Tirol and further on to Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser. An alternative route takes you from Fieberbrunn directly to Mühlbach, and via Riesenbergköpfl (1362 meters) and Hörnköpfl up to an altitude of 1773 meters above sea level. On a gravel and asphalt track you return to the valley bottom, heading towards Scheffau.
- In Scheffau you conquer the ascending trail to quaint Kaiseralm (1146 meters). After a rest stop and a hearty snack you bike down to Lake Hintersteiner See and further on to the lovely town of Kufstein. An alternative route takes you from Scheffau directly to Kufstein along the valley bottom. After a while you reach the trailhead and tour's destination in Walchsee.
